On 1 September 2026, the National Center for AI Robotics (NCAIR) visited the Fukushima Robot Test Field (RTF), a major robotics R&D and demonstration facility in Japan, as part of ongoing efforts to plan and develop robotics testing and validation testbeds. The visit was hosted by Prof. Shinji Suzuki, Director of RTF, Professor Emeritus at the University of Tokyo, and President of the Japan UAS Industrial Development Association (JUIDA), together with members of the RTF team.

To connect with Europe's leading smart robotics research capabilities, NCAIR conducted an exchange visit to Germany and the United Kingdom from June 21 to 28, 2026. During the visit, the delegation engaged with several internationally renowned robotics research institutions to gain insights into the latest trends in smart vehicles and robotics technologies, while establishing international connections and opening new opportunities for future technical exchanges and collaborative partnerships.

The National Center for AI Robotics (NCAIR) was officially established under the National Institutes of Applied Research (NAIR) to bring together robotics expertise and resources from industry, academia, and research institutions in Taiwan and abroad, while strengthening Taiwan’s intelligent robotics innovation ecosystem.

The NCAIR Preparatory Office was officially inaugurated, representing a milestone in Taiwan's intelligent technology development.
